Quality hitch lock
Found the Thule hitch lock for $20 less than local shops were advertising. My bike rack came with a cable to lock the bikes to the rack, but nothing to lock the rack to the vehicle. This lock provides peace of mind that when you are done riding, you don't come back to an missing rack. Also gives me the option to leave my rack installed if desired. There is no wobble or movement when in transit. The bolt on the lock tightens up just as well as the standard bolt that came with the rack. Not as good as their old lock
Bought this overpriced lock to secure my rack, but the gap between the lock and the hitch would make it very easy to get a bolt cutter or saw in to snip it right off. After lots of searching
I did not want to buy the Thule hitch lock. It's pricier then the other options. I searched and compared and I could not find a good alternative solution. The Thule hitch lock model bolts the bike rack itself directly to the hitch which keeps the bike rack from wiggling and making noise on the road. And of course that's a big benefit. Another benefit to buying the Thule hitch lock was that Thule makes it easy to switch lock cylinders between their products including bike racks, cable locks, and their hitch lock. So I picked up a lock cylinder that matched my bike rack so I only need one key for both the rack and hitch lock. Best option to lock your Thule hitch rack
There are really very few, if any, other options for locking your expensive Thule hitch-mounted bike rack. Is this one absolutely secure and tamper-proof? No. But it will discourage opportunistic theft of your rack. For the price Re-rack sells it for, it's simply not worth trying to hack another hitch lock to fit, and I certainly would not leave one of these racks on my car without locking it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Easy installation; silent operation.
