Only compatible discs
I have bought this BD player, but unfortunately I realized, that it doesn't support Sony BD-RE-XL Disc, I tried to check other TDK disc BD-RE-DL. The drive burn only first layer and process aborted. I tried different software, Drive has last firmware, I do not know the reason of issue. After contact with LG support, they informed that device is defective and I will try to change it or refund.

After wasting $165.00 my opinion is if you want a player for a MacBook Pro, then spend hours, even days researching and shopping.
Will not work with a MacBook Pro. LG recommended player software was useless. I paid $50.00 to DVDFAB for a software player produced for Mac,,that recommended this Model of LG Blu-ray DVD writer player. Nothing has worked.
