This unit will not spin much in the hot, still conditions that typify dove season. Wings just spin in a plastic hole, nothing special there. Dove needs to be facing the wind, what if that changes? Provided post is low to the ground, where there's not much wind. Just buy a motorized unit.

Decoys work well when you can face them in to an unobstructed field. Wish posts were taller. When I extended the decoys up they worked good. I elevated the original posts about 2 feet and wings spun more consistantly.
