I've had the HL Lasercut 1060 for six months before writing this review. Tina at USSIGNS made sure I knew what I was getting and that I had the basic skills to set up and service the unit. It arrived by UPS Freight well packaged and had no damage. I had already built a level platform for the unit, had 220V and 110V power set up, installed a 250W exhaust fan on the outside of my shop with metal ductwork to connect to the laser. I took my time learning the basics and watching every video I could find plus reviewed numerous helpful links provided by Tina. The laser tube & mirrors were already set up perfectly and cut/engraved properly over the whole area of the honeycomb bed. I had to make no adjustments. The honeycomb bead was level. The auto-focus worked perfectly after making a small Z height adjustment to the Ruida controller's settings. I use it offline, transferring files with a thumb drive with files created in Lightburn. I didn't use the 220V water pump because my chiller has one built into it. The included exhaust fan is fine but I removed it and covered the fan opening with coarse aluminum screen to catch any airborne debris being sucked out by the exhaust fan mounted outside of the shop. I used the included well-made 110V to 220V adapter to run the 220V air pump which supplies a constant 1psi air flow to the air assist nozzle for general use and engraving. For cutting wood, I inject higher pressure air from a small regulator hooked up to the shop compressor. The machine's electrical main is connected to US standard residential 220V and works fine. The only modification needed was to add a 30ma Ammeter to ensure I won't over-drive the laser tube and shorten its life. I made a log book for different materials and thicknesses to save settings that worked. I found that the machine was consistent in its cutting/engraving of these saved project files over the six months and the seasonal temperature & humidity changes. Once a file was set up and working properly, I didn't have to fiddle with the settings during later runs. I like the removable panels because if they had hinges, I would need to make more room around the unit for them to swing open. It is fast and accurate. The numerous safety features like the lid switch, laser key lock and water flow sensor ensure that I won't hurt myself or the machine during normal use. I've cut or engraved paper, cardboard, laser-safe rubber, gasket material, plywood, MDF, cast acrylics, and laser-safe plastics (H.I.P.S. mostly). It is a good tool worth the price. Read full review

We did a lot of quick research and we decided to go with the 100w with the Rudia controller with the 5000 chiller which is the best for the laser tube of this size we received and set up everything was as expected setup of the Rotory attachment was a little difficult but with some help online we figured it out real quickly. I would recommend any of the products From HL you need a little mechanical skills and though process to use it but no problem for a first timer all lazer mirrors are set up perfectly and no alignment was needed after purchase I had to upgrade the fan but no big deal at all I have not cut anything with the machine yet but only engrave

I received the machine on time and exactly when promised. The machine was packaged well and there was no damage to anything. I had it up and running the same day with very little assembly needed. I did have some problems initially getting the laser aligned but it turns out most of it was my fault. It doesnt come with legs or a stand so it is crucially important to have this laser perfectly level on all four sides of the gantry in order to get proper beam alignment. I recommend buying a digital angle level so you can be very precise. Also the mirrors are a bit flimsy so I recommend you advance the alignment screws out a few millimeters to put tension on the springs and make the mirrors more stable. Just make sure they are evenly advanced to keep good alignment. The quality of the machine is what you would expect for this price point, they aren't top of the line components like you would find on an Epilog or a Boss laser but when you get it up and running it will perform very well and at a fraction of the price of the name brand laser engravers. The Ruida controller is the newest platform and works well with RD works which comes with the purchase or Lightburn. I prefer Lightburn because I run it on my Macbook and RD works is not compatible. Improvements I would recommend to the company is to have hinges on all of the compartment doors instead of just removable doors. Offering a dedicated stand as an additional purchase would be nice. The honeycomb bed is not very well built and you will probably need to further level this with washers to ensure the cutting bed is even in all areas. There should be an mA meter installed at the factory to allow us to see tube current and make sure we are not overstressing the tube. You can install an aftermarket analog meter but I would prefer not to be cutting and splicing wires that go directly to the laser tube. This is a great value for the money, especially if you are new to the industry and don't want to spent $10,000-20,000 upfront on a machine that will essentially do the same thing. Finally Tina with HL laser was great to work with, she always responded quickly to my concerns and guided me to videos and other helpful sites to understand how to align the machine. A+ for support.Read full review
