With dreams of becoming a famous French chef, Remy must overcome many obstacles including his size and species. Based on the 2007 film, Ratatouille, combines incidents in the film with several scenes and missions created specifically for the game. In the "Adventure" mode, gamers lead Remy away from his family and around courtyards, markets, and sewers in Paris as he evades hungry enemies and restaurant patrons to collect ingredients for his culinary craft. Gamers must complete 25 different single- and multiplayer mini-games such as washing and peeling potatoes. A resourceful rat, Remy can use an umbrella to glide, spools of thread to reach higher areas, and hot sauce to deter would-be assailants. After each level, players will receive a completion percentage and earn unlocked goodies including film clips and artwork. Items during the "Adventure" are used to decorate Remy's rat colony.

A good family game! It's great for kids because the are familiar with the characters, the controls are easy to use, and it has a non violent theme. If the kids can't quite get the hang of the controls, I can assure you they will be thoroughly entertained by just watching you play. I enjoyed playing myself, it's a nice simple game with a few side challenges that weren't ridiculously difficult to overcome, and as I said before, because it's non violent theme, you can play while the kids are awake. Brothers in Arms and Splinter Cell will have to wait until the kids are asleep.
I thought this would be a great game for my kids and picked it up as a Christmas gift. It's turned out to be one of my favorites as well! It's disney at it's best, following the story line from that wonderful movie our family loves, but with enough surprises to keep it interesting. It's difficulty level is just about right for me and my teen, but a little bit harder for my younger girls. I've always felt like a good game is one that has levels that may take you several tries to get through, but that aren't so hard that you don't lose hope of ever getting past the level. I've struggled over some parts of this game but never for long! Fun, Fun, Fun!
Both myself and my almost 10 y.o. like this game, some parts are hard to coordinate, but not too difficult. It plays like the PS2 version, but much better on the Wii in the physical sense. It would take some time for an older albeit newer Wii gamer to get used to the controls (remote+nunchuck) together, but after that it's good.
Great game....only con is the fact that the game is single player, however, multiplayer minigames can be "bought"..overall an ok game...my four year old loves it but becomes frustrated everytime he can't read something or for some of the more difficult parts of the game..
