Seems to be of better quality than the OEM Original differential. The bolts and gasket and drain plug add a nice complete kit to replace the 19 year old cover. Only draw, back it came un painted. Which allowed me to paint any color I desire. Great price. I would definetly recommend this product.

This kit is supplied in a box with shrink wrap plastic holding the parts in place. Looks great. The contents are cover, fill plug, gasket and 10 bolts. The cover is well made from heavy steel and fits perfectly. The cut outs line up just right with the brake line anchor points. The heavy rubber gasket is also well made. i did not use RTV on either the differential surface or cover and had no leaks. The bolts supplied are metric M6 1.0 which fit models later than my old truck. My 1994 K1500 is 5/16 fine pitch. So make certain to check the thread pitch before trying to install new bolts. I used dies from my thread chaser set to check threads.I ran the chaser over the old bolts and cleaned them with brake clean. I used blue locktite to set bolts. Do not overtighten bolts which could distort the rubber gasket. I purchased this cover because the differential fill plug was "welded in place" after not being removed for many years. To fill the differential I used a small funnel with flexible spout. The spare tire blocks the liter size gear oil bottle from lining up with the fill port. Removing the spare tire would eliminate this interference. The differential took two liters and about 3 more ounces from a third container. The gear oil lasts a long time. My motivation for doing this job was to clean the very fine metal filings that accumulate on the magnet. The new cover has a magnetic plug and second magnet attached to inside surface like the OEM. This diff cover is not flimsy and cheap by any means, very impressed by the metal thickness also the gasket it came with is a quality reusable gasket, I hate paper gaskets so I was very impressed, the cover appeared to be bare steel so I painted it once installed just to be sure

My new rear differential cover had minor surface rust but I needed to paint it anyways. I used high temp black for the paint. Just checked it today and after a week, still no leak. I’ve been over 213,000 miles on the original so I hope this one lasts just as long. I’m very impressed with the quality of materials and fit. I’d rate this product equal to OEM.

I was very impressed with both the cover for it's thickness and the gasket. Kind of a ribbed rubber over tin. Very good quality! No spoodge required. I gave it 4 stars only because it was bare metal on the outside
