This is the third lift pump I've installed over the years. It's a 94 and I've owned it for over 12 years. The guy I bought it from was very good about maintenance and he gave me the fuel pressure gauge setup he used to check it. Stick with me. I've checked it over the years and even after a new pump install it seemed on the low side (not a bad overflow valve). I was having an issue for years where the truck would stumble and smoke at around 1500 rpms. If I got on it it would clear up and run fine. Finally the last pump I installed quit. I installed one of these (after reading another review) and truck runs better than it ever did even when I bought it! Maybe the pumps are wearing prematurely with the low sulfur diesel but so far this pump (for a stock replacement is awesome). The spring in it feels a bit stiffer. Also the primer button works great. Always seemed like I had to pump it forever to prime the system. Got fuel out of the bleeder after 40 pumps or so, with an empty fuel filter! Cummins must have done something right when they designed this pump. Only time will tell on longevity but so far, about 2500 miles this thing is awesome! Pressure it solid and mileage is up. Totally recommend it! Sorry for going on and on. Read full review

Bought this to swap my 91 w250 over to Piston style pump. Wouldn't recommend this kit. Piston pump is great. Nothing wrong with it. But few things are wrong. Wrong fuel line for the swap need 3914753. But studs provided are also wrong. Dont even fit thru the body of the pump itself. Regardless of application. Other wise a decent kit if you are buying it for intended purpose. Just check for matching debris. Fuel nipple had some nasty burs and chips inside it.

I had a Carter factory pump,I got about 16,000 miles it failed. I got the Cummins DCEC Pump made by Cummins in china what a big difference way better than the carter pump. My truck is a 99 Dodge 4x4 V-10 gas to 96 12 valve swap. I am running a 4" exhaust ,A torque teck adjustable over flow valve. My fuel pressure whet from 15 PSI when the Carter pump was new. Installed the DCEC pump I had 20PSI on the starter while cranking up for the first time after install. I was able to bleed injectors with the hand pump the carter pump never did that. Summary My fuel pressure is now a constant 22/30 PSI running down the road. Bonus is fuel MPG. went from 17 MPG to 21 MPG combined city highway! Buy this pump U will love it.Read full review

This pump is NOT an exact replacement. It is about 20mm longer & requires some grinding to fit with the fuel heater. The fuel hose between the two must be cut/shortened also. So far (less than 100 miles) it is working with no leaks. The original lasted 300k/25years. It has a weep hole. This one does not.

Seems to be serving its intended purpose. This pump has the weep hole in the housing which should prevent engine oil dilution if the seals begin leaking diesel fuel. Not many other pumps offer this.
