The rear strap gets salt and grime splash from the rear tires. It was easy enough to support the trunk and slip this between the skid pan and tank without full removing everything. It boots up nice and has been solid since- it may not be galvanized or have a protective coating but I expect it to last the life of the truck. The front one was still good so I left it alone. The price was 30-40 lower than the least expensive option at the shop
Very easy to put on. I did it in about 45 minutes and boy did I need them one of the straps had rusted through and broke and the other one broke when I was taking it off. It is a wonder I didn’t loose my gas tank going down the road.
