I really liked this movie, I cannot believe that I just discovered it on an older DVD's previews. Choc full of well known actors, you really have to hang in there untill the end, this movie has to unfold for you. Donnie Wahlberg is hysterical - I'm sure there are really folks out there similar to him (in the class room setting). I can imagine that the men out there will identify and sympathize with Robert Carlisle's character. The various females in the class are all a hoot in their own way. A far cry from the motives in "Shall We Dance" but it still had me laughing "at" the characters personalities.
Yes!!! I like the movie very much! One of my DVD's had a preview of this movie on it, Some how I snared it, rather than managing to bypass it and get the main menu...it looked interesting and I watched the preview. Boy was I glad that I watched. I went onto the net and found a bunch of reviews by HARDCORE BALL ROOM FOLKS! They didn't like this -or- that, in fact nothing mostly! But I had to go visit my brother who was seriously sick. Finally I got on line w/ Ebay and found someone that had it in stock! Just got it TODAY! and watched it all! This movie is a story about LIFE, the actors were a list of who's who in the movies! all well done role's. Love - Life - Choice's that we all make that are right -and- some wrong! Dance! Dance! Like a chorus line weaving through life! I could write much more...but buy it and watch it...over and over again!Read full review

With this group of actors how could it miss. John Goodman starts us off with keeping a childhood promice, his telling of the story is captivating. The writer intertwines the lives of these ordinary characters, all with something we can relate to, with each introduction of another well known actor we see this story mix life, love, loss, protection, holding on to the past and looking to the future. Maybe for the first time. Getting lost in the rhythm of dance and life.
I'd never heard of this movie but it was recommended at Block Buster. Once I'd seen the movie, I wanted to own it. It is a great love story and a great life story. It's about a baker who's lost his wife and a man who's about to lose his own life and how their chance meeting made a difference to both of them. It does a great job of flashbacks and flash forwards and is a really great movie. I would highly recommend it.
