I needed a server for home that had a lot of 3.5" drive bays and this fit the bill. Twelve hot swaps and two internal 2.5" + two internal USB slots for thumbdrive boot devices. Lower power hexas and the H700 512MB raid card. Installed Dell's custom esxi 6.7 on it successfully, but then fought my way through updating the various components to their most recent firmware releases. It was interesting given this is an 11th gen server and vmware is slowly dropping support for 11G processors (all the quad cores are gone from 6.7). Using ipmi commands, dropped fans to 1500rpm, making the server very, very quiet. Currently idling at 150w with a mirrored SSD pool, more spinners to be installed soon. The server is typical Dell quality; solid, well designed, and likely to run for at least five more years. Well worth the investment.Read full review

Quiet! and plenty of room for expansion! If you can find one for around $300-400 it's a good deal!! Makes a great backup server or NAS Runs cool and quiet, cant even hear it over my R710!
