These drivers quieted down my steppers when machining in my CNC router. Goes down to 1/32 step or balance it for more torque with a higher current rating. Couple of things should be noted however, the diagram is wrong on the signal description and one should follow the stamped signal hookup on the case of the driver. Also, these are not the 5Amp variety as is customary with the TB6600 chip itself but rather the internal chip is actually the TB67S109 driver chip instead. This chip is a newer design and has better resolution but NOT better current handling capability. If you're intending on using or needing the 5A drive to drive large very high torque NEMA 34 motors, shy away from these. But if you need the extra finite resolution of 1/32 stepping as in a larger 3D printer or mid size CNC router, than this driver will more than fit the bill.Read full review

they've been running at 2.8 amps for an hour or so each day, at x16 microstepping, for a week. They get slightly warm but dont require active cooling at 2.8a. Higher amps might. There's a typo on the printed diagram. The 2.8amp setting is marked as the same as the 4amp setting. The pictures displayed here are correct, and it appears to be the only typo i could find. Not a big deal. Overall they're great for the price. They seem to perform well with no missed steps, and holds torque when its sitting still.

I buyed it as a cheapest variant for my stepped motor + arduino experiments. It works well and is fully usefull. Good choice for "small" stepped motors. Similar functionality (exclude total power) as 10x more expensive drivers.

Previously I used the plug in little boards on a RAMPS 1.4. To use this you have to invert the enable output in the Marlin config file. This is a much better solution, good quality, easy to configure. I will probably convert all of my steppers over.

The stepper is working well in my test setup and I ordered 2 more. I am using nema 17 motors at this point.
