I use it primarily offline to read ebooks and listen to music. Like the alternative charger stand but don't use any of the google options. Paid as much for a Samsung 7" with half the memory a couple of years ago and wanted a replacement. This tablet has many features I will never use but is easy to operate for my needs and I actually bought 2 as I got a discount. Will probably gift the 2nd one.

My biggest complaint is the tablet will not hold a WIFI signal. You must continually reboot it. The touch screen is very poor. I touch one thing, it grabs something else. The old adage you get what you pay for is true in this case. Yes, the price is right, but it's not a great tablet.

Very nice. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the Google Smart Display to work when plugged into the dock... More research needed on my part, I reckon.

I purchased this off Ebay (with the charging base) for a great price. After first initialization and system updates it was lagging a bit, so I ran some diagnostic tests and found Chrome Browser was leaking memory and running in the background even though I hadn't started it once or set it up. After clearing its cache, forcing stop, disabling it, and rebooting the tablet it was speedy and responsive. I installed Brave to be sync'd with my other devices and it runs smoothly and quickly. I purchased the tablet mostly for reading and browsing - from e-books/Kindle to websites and email. It's also handy for social media. Slick hardware and well-made, but definitely needs a case for protection.

I haven't really used it too much yet so I am not sure about the battery life. It is a very nice looking machine and is a bit smaller then some other 8 inch tablets I have had previously so it's not so heavy to carry it around. It is a bit tricky to hold onto by itself as the back is quite smooth and it slips out of my hands easily. I solved that problem by buying a case to put it in. I'm sure I will be quite happy with it when I start using it full time. I like the fact that it has the smart charging station as well so there is not so much wear and tear on the USB charging port. The only thing I find annoying is that you can't charge it on the smart charging station when it is in an external case because it makes it too wide to fit in the slot on the smart charging station that it has to go into. Luckily it does pop out of the external case easily so I can put it in the smart charging station to charge it and then put it back in the case.Read full review
