1 20V Battery Adapter DCA1820 for Dewalt 18V Tools (Only Adapter, No Battery). for Dewalt DC DW XRP Series 18V battery. Compatible with Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Model for Dewalt 20V lithium battery.
This is a great adapter. I have bought several. I would have given 5 stars, but it is a copy of the DeWalt. The new batteries are so much better than the old 18v NiCads and the old design Lithium batteries are so much more expensive (they were good). This is prolonging the life of several tools for me.
You have to rock it pushing both buttons to rock it off. I left the battery plugged in the tool and when I went back next day and the battery was dead. I put the battery on my 20 volt charger and no lcharging light came on. I thought it might have killed the battery. Two day latter I tried the battery in the charger and it started working. I would not leave the battery pack on the tool when your not using it I think it drains it past the point of charging.
An excellent option for using newer battery platforms.
I was considering buying additional 18v batteries for my drill. However with this clever adapter, I am able to use the newer 20v batteries with my older but still useful drill. I am very impressed.
The adaptor worked very well, .The old Drill and other tools can now work with the newer style batteries saving me several hundred of dollars. this is a great product. Well Recommended to everyone.
Great fix for my older tools, but extremely hard to remove it.
This is a great product to update my 18 volt working DeWalts. My only complaint is that it is very hard to get off the tool in order to move it to another tool. Fortunately this doesn't happen a lot, but when it does I have to get a clamp or large pliers to remove it.
