This is an excellent temperature control switch. I use it to keep an eye on the temp of a power supply I built and if it get over 60°C it switches on a fan. Works like a charm! I made a panel for it and de-soldered the relais and wire connector and put them on the back and is easy to do. The price is ridiculously low so I advise to just get it, or even get a few of them. They are really useful to have.

Worked brilliantly with no problems. Very easy to set the temperature. An unexpected plus is that the memory is non-volatile, so that it retains its setting even when disconnected. One slight disappointment is that the hysteresis was given as 0.1 C, which I took to be the difference between switching temperatures during heating and cooling. In fact I find that the difference is about 2 C. However, this is not important for my application, which is to switch on a small pump (Bayite BYT-7A006 DC 12V Solar Hot Water Circulation Pump) when the temperature of the water from a solar heater reaches a preset value.

Although I haven't yet tested these in long-term operation, it appears to work perfectly with all the modes and options I wanted (such as being able to set the hysteresis), the display behaves as expected and robustness of measurement from the NTC sensor seems good. I saw nothing that caused suspicions of low quality anyway. You could easily pay 50 to 100 times more for a "name brand" industrial version of this temperature controller - this might work just as well, or better.

I wish one didn't have to accept a nearly 4 degree F (2-degree C) change before activation, and that the relay could handle up to 20 amps repeatedly, without soldering itself closed on a 1,500 watt heater's "high" setting, but when properly wired as a control circuit (like the 12 VDC trigger circuit in a solid state relay(SSR)), then the SSR handles the heavy lifting. I WOULD like to see an adjustable sensitivity range, or at least one that is sensitive to a change of no more than 1-degree F, since it is already sensitive to a tenth of a degree change, which is shown on the display. Great for my pocketbook, though, and does as advertised, flawlessly.

This is a great product for keeping control of temperature on refrigerators, wine storage units, kegerators or even home brew AC units. Better control for refrigeration than heating but you can make it work that way too with a second relay using NC connection. It has a two degree shift between off and on so it isn't for control of super critical applications, but then you would probably use a higher cost unit in that case. For the money it works very well. Great fun for experimenters.
