You play as Eddie Valient walking around town looking for items. Rodger Rabbit tails you the whole time, basically you need to protect him. The game is very open, you can just wander around jump in benny(your car...after you get him) drive to a open door in front of a building, enter and talk to people. They are supposed to give you clues about what you are supposed to be doing but more often than not its not very helpful. The game can be frustrating when you do not know what to do or where to go, but overall it can be fun snoopin in closets and drawers looking for clues and items. And just punching Roger and other people. The game would be enjoyed more if you look up what you need in an online guide before you play it
