DTS Digital Decoder DTS (Digital Theater Systems) is an established digital multichannel audio format found mostly in movie theaters. This feature can be found in VSXD509S. DTS delivers six (5.1) channels of output sound, offering superior reproduction of DTS-encoded materials ranging from subtle details to the high-powered sound effects. Digital AM/FM Stereo Tuner processes FM and AM radio broadcasts digitally, locking in on the signal for less drift and reduced distortion. It also allows for simple storage of station frequencies in convenient presets. Expanded Theater Mode broadens the size of the surround sound field, simulating a much larger space. This feature adds to the "theater-like" feel when watching movies in the comfort of your own home. Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) recreates different sonic environments, simulating the acoustics of locations like arenas, churches, and clubs. Playing music through a DSP mode creates a more vivid, life-like listening experience. DSP delivers sounds sculpted to recreate the reflections and reverberations that make live performances so satisfying. Bass + Treble Controls allow you to adjust the bass (lower) and treble (higher) frequencies of the music to your own individual listening tastes. Coaxial Digital Input accepts the pure digital output from another digital product, such as a CD or DVD Player. Full Function Remote Control provides complete control of the unit from the comfort and convenience of your chair.
