It's time once again to hit the asphalt in this third installment of the popular arcade-style basketball series. NBA Street V3 features the same over-the-top gameplay as its predecessors and returns the competition to court favorites such as "The Cage," "Rucker Park," and to new locations such as "Venice Beach." Gamers will be able to perform gravity-defying moves with legends from the NBA's storied past, today's flashy stars, and colorful characters from prior NBA Street titles. They can also throw it down online, and play to see who the best player is. Create-a-Baller mode returns, allowing players to create their own athlete, and gamers also have the ability to create a custom basketball court from scratch.

The most fun basketball game on the market.
NBA Street V3 isn't as realistic as it's NBA 2K7 counterpart, but it's much more fun. In V3 you are able to fully customize every aspect of the game. You can create a team and pick up additional players along the way. You can customize your home court with your own personal name, logo, colors, bleachers, and paint job. You can create unique players and improve their skills as you win games. If you are simply interested in playing some no hassle 3 on 3 basketball you can do that too without all the set up. In V3 the players are able to perform different tricks during the game. As soon as a team builds up enough points from the tricks they can perform a "gamebreaker" which is like a super slam dunk worth three or four points. Because of this aspect, a big theme to the game is doing tricks while playing to build up to gamebreakers which will make or break your games. While the overall game isn't perfect it is a whole lot of fun. NBA Street V3 is a great game for all ages.Read full review

Excellent!
This is one of the best from the series. It's easy enough to pick up and play and once you get use to the gameplay it can be explosive! This game is a lot of fun and has excellent replay value. If you like basketball then you gotta' play this!

Fluid gameplay, over the top tricks and dunks, real NBA teams/players, nostalgic soundtrack, player/court customization is the best ever in a basketball game. If you like basketball, you should try this.

Fun even if you don't LIKE basketball
I saw a demo of this game in one of my Xbox magazines. I decided, since it was so cheap on Ebay, to buy it. It is awesome. I've always wanted to slam dunk and alley ooop. Well, this game let's you do that and more in spectacular fashion. It even allows you to "juke" an individual to the point that they lose balance and then you can go up for a super dunk or pass it to someone else who may already be in the air. This is NOT a basetball simulation. This is purely arcade fun. You can snag (goaltend) the ball in the air or push individuals down and strip them of the ball. The animation and the music are awesome. And, while it is rap music, the lyrics are not dirty and most are instrumentals. Awesome game for 2 to 4 players. It originally sold for $50.00 like all other games and I haven't seen it for less than 20.00 in the store, which is why I just bought it online for half that price AND brand new at that.Read full review
