I really did like the book, it was well written, it had pictures of all the kids involved, and was very descriptive. This book was made into a Movie, just called: "BULLY" and normally I like to read the book first, and then see the movie. But in this case, I would suggest seeing the Movie FIRST!!!! Everyone is different, but many of the people I know that read, always perfer to read the book, & maybe catch the Movie. Because in some cases, the book is just better. But my reason for suggesting the movie 1st, is because in the Movie, there were several "Topics" that make MUCH more sense when you have already seen the Movie. The Movie followed the book Very Well! Somethimes the movie will "leave" some things out. I think BOTH the Movie and Book were REALLY GOOD! I would definetly recommend them BOTH. Although, you would NOT want children to see this Movie. Or if you don't care for movie's / books that are, Um.. Morbid. It VERY grafic, detailed, strange, and in a way- pretty Disturbing! It's one of those Movie/Books, that after you see, it kind of "Stays" with you for a while. I continued to think of the characters, and what happened for Days! Mostly because the events that are in the book- ARE TRUE! And what happened with those teenagers THAT "Night" was......... Well, you just have 2 Watch or Read it to find out~! I don't like giving out 2 many details. You won't want 2 put this one down! I personally Love Books like that, and I give the book an Excellent rewiew! - If you are interested in the Movie, it usually runs on Independent / Sundance Channels, And Cable movie channels. So I hope you enjoy~!Read full review
This book tells the true story of a group of kids who end the life of a bully. It is well researched and factual. It is also very disturbing as it introduces the average reader to some frightening aspects of teenager culture of which many of us were unaware. It also teaches you a little bit about the average american's view of the justice system and its place in the lives of the accused. Difficult to put down. Made into a movie of the same name.
I liked the book Bully by Jim Schutze although I've seen the movie several times. Like most books vs movies, the book was much more detailed. Hell I wanted to hurt Bobby myself after reading how badly he treated people especially his "friends". I couldn't fathom the nonchanlant attitudes of the teens. Life in that community is too laid back. These kids didn't have a care in the world. Oh, I guess no one ever heard of the word secret because they were blabbing the story to whoever would listen. Overall, I enjoyed the book.
This was such a great book! Very compelling content! I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys true crime stories!

After watching the movie I wanted to know more about this case. The book did the movie justice. It was as good as if not better than the movie.
