Amazing game. Came in great condition. Manual too. I'd be more detailed but haven't played through in decades. Just beware, it does work on the Super gameboy, but graphics are as if you just had the original. No worries original was great. Just debating to play through on Super Nt with Super game boy looks great! Or... With Game Cube Gameboy player, more colors, bigger on screen, but just with rca cables kinda fuzzy, not so hd, colors bleed (i think i only tried it with a gba version i got now that I think about it, probably smaller and crisper with this cart I'll give it a try) and hundreds of dollars for component hook up and i have no idea how much better it looks. Well! Probably way too much info.

This is one of the best original Gameboy titles. Beyond that, it's one of the better/more interesting Zelda titles, period. For anyone interested in classic Zelda gameplay that wants a peek at what Hyrule (or should I say Koholint Island) was like in the 1990's, check out Link's Awakening. This game really shows what a Gameboy is capable of, and the Gameboy Color edition is an obvious improvement on the original version. My only gripe with the game is a common complaint, which is: You will probably spend a lot of time pausing and swapping out items, similar to how you must do in Resident Evil 4, which can slow momentum a bit... Still, it's a necessary part of the game and I can't think of a better solution. Stellar game, a must play!

Released in 2001, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons is an excellent handheld title for the Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance. The game is rated E for everyone; the story is simple enough for a child, yet interesting enough for an adult. You guide Link through the land of Holodrum to restore the cycle of the seasons. While the graphics are certainly dated, the animations are smooth, and the gameplay solid. The game features good action, challenging boss battles, and mind-bending puzzles. The game can also connect to The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages for an extended story. This is not required to enjoy the game, as it was designed to be a stand-alone title as well. A must have for Zelda fans and retro gamers. Casual players will still enjoy the game, but the difficulty can become frustrating in a few places. However, with a wealth of FAQ and walkthrough information on the internet, players can overcome the tougher areas.Read full review
Classic stand-out title for the Game Boy Color, and the definitive version of the original portable Zelda game. Not enough good things can be said about it. Yes, it's aged, but only in the same way that any equivalent quality NES title has as well. It's just great fun.

The color version is fun to play and has the additional features of the Color Dungeon and the Camera Shop. The both the DX and non-DX versions have great gameplay like the original Legend of Zelda for the NES.

I played the black & white version of this game. The color version is not only in color, but has extra content in it, including one dungeon you can access from the graveyard that really shows off the colors the game is capable of displaying. It's a great game, and the DX color version is much better.

If you intend to buy this product know that this is the real deal plus I had a guy at a game store at in town tell me what to look for and this cartridge. Is exactly as it was described to me yes it may be worn out cosmetically but as far as function it works 100% definitely worth the buy. Just watch out for those who have tampered with them I unfortunately ran across that I'm just glad that I found the real deal finally after a long search. I'd like to thank the the user that I bought this particular cartridge from thank you for your honesty and I will enjoy this game.

This game was the first game I played on the gameboy that was very addictive in a good way. Not this DX version but the regular version. The DX version is an improvement cause if you have a Gameboy with an IPS screen this looks like your playing on tv just smaller because you have color. Its a must have game for any Zelda fan.

Understand that direct multi-game sequels are difficult to rate. That being said this game can definitely hold its own ground as a Zelda title. It is not a rehash story line of the whole windfish saga. It has a decent story line and the graphics are pretty great for a gameboy color game. If you love Zelda series and are a fan of the history of this green garbed kid named Link....then you should buy it. I love the old school games more than some of the current ones, this is near the top of my gbc list.
one of the best legend of zelda games to date. the care that went into the play mechanics and storyline showcase just how fantastic the developers and writers are NCL are. a fantastic follow-up to the SNES classic, a link to the past
