This is a great little amp for practice and learning or writing songs when you do not want to fire up your live rig. I also use this when fixing or building guitars and I want to make sure the pickups are wired correctly. Okay the sound - It is really clean and sounds good. Nice sparkle on the cleans and when overdriven, still maintains a clean to it. To me it sounds very much like classic overdriven sounds. I could picture the Nu metal players not liking it too much but me who is older, I am fine with it. I would not say this is for recording but some may use it for that but to me it is a jamming, playing around amp. It also has a pretty good digital delay on it, not great but good but enhances the sound a bit and fine. The amp is bare bones but sturdy and weighs nothing. I really like it and can go anywhere in the house with it. It runs on batteries or AC and a must have in my opinion. Great price, sturdy little thing that packs a punch.Read full review

If there were a 6 I would give it to them. Modest in size not sound and built solid yet accessible Blackstar keep knocking it out-of-the-park! As a collector of guitars and fine musical instruments I owned most amps and for the best in audio vibration I have turned to my Blackstar's for years, currently an owner of three 100, 40 and now this fine piece of work I seem to be spending more enjoyable time playing then I use to. Can't come out tonight, I'm Flying high with my Blackstar. Sorry Marshall.

Delay timing really and timeing is Fantastic! The systems volume is crisp, clear and can stand up to a 100 watt Amp. Great basic effects, Blackstar makes a quality product. I wouldn't mind buying a full size amp from them in the future. I bought the FLY 3, for convenience of size and weight, Makes a great practice amp to accompany my Hofner Shorty, guitar, and just as easy to pack up and put away. Second, I can hookup my mp3 player, and take it Mobil, because the Blackstar Fly 3, will operate on 6 AA batteries as well. Play or practice loud or low the sound is l great! either way. Please read the specs, and decide for yourself. I am pleased.

Great little amp I would say you could probably play a gig with it as an emergency back up . It is just a little amp but the monitor function is good as well. I use this with my cell phone all the time . I dont know how i lived with out it . It got pretty good battery life as well. Great for outdoor events like having an 80's boom box as well ha ha Top scores in my book
