Solid third album. Slim Shady LP introduced the world to Eminem, a crude, white maniac with exceptional rhyming skills. Marshall Mathers LP gave the world Em's personal side while mixed with comic and satirical content. The Eminem Show is the retrospect of his career. After selling millions and millions of records, everyone wondered whether Eminem Show lived up to expectations. Yes it did. Taking more control over the production (Dre produced only 3 tracks), Eminem makes lyrical assaults on many including George Bush, rap critics, pop stars, Kim, and his mother. He goes from criticizing the common views against white rappers and to his success making keen observations that his color helped him gain fame. He criticizes the Bush administration in Square Dance for its decision to send soldiers to Iraq. He recalls his assault on a bouncer after he allegedly saw him kiss his wife. In Soldier, he recalls the violent rage in him before and during the attack but in Say Goodbye Hollywood, he regrets doing that saying that his wife would have cared less and that he could be imprisoned thus stalling his career and affecting his relationship with his daughter. In Sing For The Moment, he discusses how music has suddenly become an influence on kids because they can relate and how one should not take things so seriously. In Say What U Say, he and Dre declare war on Jermaine Dupri and Canibus. A couple of minor complaints are the repetition of content, namely rants against his mother and the whole Slim Shady antic on My Dads Gone Crazy. The songs Drips and Superman are unnecessary misogynistic rants against whores and should not have been included. Yet The Eminem Show succeeds because Eminem keeps it interesting. After all, he can't leave rap alone. The game needs him.…Read full review
If there is anything positive that people can say about Eminem, it has to be that this man is a lyrical genius. He has more than proven to be ONE OF THE BEST RAPPERS of the past ten years. As crazy as a looney toon, he takes you on one outrageous adventure after another. With every LP Album that he releases, he is constantly pushing the bar higher for himself and others to follow. Being the inspiring entertainment artist that I am, talent recognizes talent, and Eminem has plenty of it to spare. "The Eminem Show" is an "outrageously throed" work of art. It's no wonder he has a legion of devoted fans. I had forgotten just how good it was. Every track is worth listening to. But WARNING folks, remember who we're talking about. Eminem's content at times may be too extreme for some people, but he always makes it sound "so good" - that you find yourself just not careing about the content at all. So, if you can stand the content, love Hip Hop and his looney sense of humor, then you gotta get this Album (if you don't already have it). - - - *Dorrian Doniel Eugene of Texas A*K*A *DORRI'ONRead full review
I was a kid at the time when this came out, I grew up listening to hip hop music and other music besides hip-hop, my favorite rappers when I was growing up were T.I. , Lil Wayne, Drake Kanye West and Eminem was my top 5 sometimes I wish I want to be a teenager again and experience the Eminem show era or Marshall Mathers era because I feel like I was sleeping on this and been missing out on this, best album I ever heard this will never be old.

I bought this album because I love eminem and I was NOT disappointed. Out of eminems old albums The Eminem Show is probably the best. I like Slim Shady but I love Eminem and Marshall Mathers, I think Shady's a little to crazy for me, and this album has quite a few Eminem and Marshall Mathers tracks. This is a piece of Advise from Eminem, he was on the David Letterman Show. 6 : Always purchase music through authorized retailers that pay royalities to the artists
