Not the best of steels but a great knife for everyday use and work. Highly recommended.

My only problem with knife is that it was not in new condition, it has been sharpened but not that well as you can see scrapes on blade, besides this it's great

While it's basically tool steel and made in China, the knife is very well put together, snaps right open and is of adequate size. It has good hand-feel and the jimping ensures a secure grip. Spyderco makes fine knives.

You will be hard pressed to find a better knife in this price range. After owning Benchmade I decided to purchase an entry level Spyderco (EDC) so I don’t have to worry about losing my $160 BM. Wow! I’m now looking at getting a Para2. Spyderco vs Benchmade... such a difficult choice.

Even though this knife is made in China, there are under very strict supervision to have the honor of making knives for Spyderco and it shows in their quality. This knife does everything well. Its strong, has tight tolorences and built to last a lifetime. You need one of these.

Not to expensive, not to cheap, made in China - but this (Spyderco Contract Manufacturer) does an excellent job! The blade is made from common 8CR13 (Chinese AUS8) steel, with an even grind on both sides. Arrived sharp and after a few passes over the "Fine" Crock sticks set at 20-degrees, was hair-shaving sharp! Good blade centering in handle, Liner-lock edge is completely covered by the blade with excellent lock-up. Blade pivot tension is set just right! Handle scales over stainless liners are nicely done in G10 with comfortable rounded edges. Knife feels well balanced and lighter than expected. Wide stainless pocket clip with 4-point mounting provided to suit all types of carry needs (left/right, tip-up/down). Over-all not to big, not to small, fills the hand nicely, perfect size for an EDC knife, or in a pinch as a defensive or back-up blade. Big enough to get the job done, but won't raise eyebrows when opened in public. Good Job Spyderco!!! Excellent product design, engineering & manufacturing!!! All at a very reasonable price point. Thank-you!!!Read full review

Very well made and easy one hand open - fits perfectly in the pocket . My first spyderco but definitely not my last - would recommend it 100% .

Contemplating buying another. Stiff on deployment out the box and I was a bit concerned. However, it broke in quickly by blowing residual dust from the pivot and lightly oiling with olive oil. Now the action is very smooth and it flips open easily.

The spyderco knife was a Chinese made product of good quality which was surprising, just for the fact that most things made from there are junk. Very pleased with my purchase.
