This a fun item for the pizza maker in the house but it would be much better with handles to lift the lid off which will allow easier access to the pizza to allow for turning it. It makes about a 14 inch pie. Need to pay attention because it gets very hot very quickly. Back of oven is hotter than by the opening so you need to turn the pie in about 2 to 3 minutes for even cooking. The oven should be placed on a table high enough to allow getting the pizza paddle under the pie.

Love it! HOWEVER, one great additon would be a handle on the lid to make inserting a fresh dough pizza easier. Fresh dough tends to stick to the spatula when sliding it into the oven for cooking directly on the stone. If the lid had a handle, you could slide the pizza in more easily. I imagine it's very easy to insert a frozen pizza though.

Oven works great! Pizza shop pizza at home. The only issue I had is it heats a little more in the back because of the opening in the front. I solved this problem by mistake. I purchased a 14” pizza screen but found out the opening is less than 14”. So I take the top off and put in the pizza screen in the oven and it won’t come out of the opening while cooking. The screen allows me to turn the pizza easily. You can use a fork to turn your pizza. Overall it’s easy to use and a great investment for my outdoor kitchen.

Making good pizza takes practice. You can get the pie off your pizza peel and into the over either by using a pizza screen or cornmeal on your pizza peel. Believe me, opening the top more wont help. Mine gets up to 900 degrees with the optional wind door. Only gripe is, depending how hot the stone is you may cook your crust at a different speed than your toppings- so practice and close monitoring are key.

To cook evenly you need to rotate the pizza halfway through the cooking cycle. I use a wooden pizza peel powdered with flour to put it in the oven so it easily slides off shaking it to and fro. Remove after 2-3 minutes, rotate on the pizza peel and put back. Mine warms up to 700 degrees. 5-6 minutes per pizza depending on the outside temperature. 6 minutes in the winter 5 in the summer. A perfect pizza everytime.
