This is a capable all around laptop. The processor responds well and has handled day to day tasks like document processing, email, financial apps and browsing. The onboard Intel graphics perform better than I expected, although the unit does warm up while running simulations. The bright screen display is excellent. Does not use backlit keyboard, which is something included on higher end HP machines. I am looking to get several years use from this machine.

This was given as a entry level laptop for a freshman in High School. It was very easy to setup and bring up to date with updates in less then a hour. One would be had press to find a mark or anything wrong. It's not fast, but gets the job done HP is a known brand in laptops, and I have own a few myself. They seem to last for ever. As with name HP, my grand daughter should have no problem I feel in starting High School.
