This cartridge is SO easy to install. High yield. PLEASE always purchase the original brother cartridge. I have had my printer for about 14 years, I have tried the cheaper, after market replacements. They are leaky, bad rollers, low yield, uneven toner distribution, Waste of money. The Brother toner cartridge is a very good value, and won't foul your machine!
You can try refills. I did and it didn't work well for me. The genuine just worked.
Just works. Clean prints from my brother printer. Genuine brother toner is reasonable enough in price and provides high quality prints on my DCP-7065DN.
Free additional, related review because they don't take reviews for that item: I tried to use the toner refill (newera) but the result was very disappointing. It was easy to refill the cartridge, but the prints were absolutely unacceptable. Maybe it'll work great for other printers, but not mine. The text print was light and shadowed, the areas of the print that should be white were VERY grey. At 1/10th the price of genuine, I had to try.
This kit provides the flag reset gear that was missing from the toner cartridge that came with my printer. Instead of throwing the toner cartridge away when empty, now I can reset the flag, refill and reuse it. The printed instructions to install the kit were not very clear by themselves, but with some tutorial videos the job was easy.
Innovera seems to have a very good reputation for making refilled toner carts. They actually have a one year warranty. At a small fraction of the price of Brother OEM toner carts, the Innovera refills seem to be a good bet. After a month or so of use, no problems. They also ship with instructions for resetting the Brother printer's toner "counter," and for installing the cart itself, which involves detaching the fuser unit and assembling it to the new cart. IMHO, much better than some no-name refill cart.
