I purchased this for my Kenmore washing machine. It didn't come with a fabric softener dispenser and my wife just dumps fabric softener in with the detergent. This makes a difference. The only drawback is that you not only have to add fabric softener but then add water to fill to the indicator so that when it spins, the softener gets whirled out of the dispenser. The dispenser is easy to install and remove.

The fabric softener dispenser on our 19 year old Kenmore washer failed due to a crack in the housing (the machine still works fine). This replacement is identical to the original.
