I used two of these cards in a data storage server. The OS is WIN7 PRO. The cards installed easily, using the drivers on the provided disc. The power consumption is very low, about 1.5 watts per card, which is something important for a system that is on 24/7. High speed data transfers through several ports at the same time worked fine with no problems. The card has USB3 ports, and I found that both USB2 and USB3 devices worked fine with this card, just as advertised.

I had problems with Western Digital USB 3.0 external drives disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly with USB 3.0 PCIe boards with Renesas chipsets. Sometimes the board would disappear during large file transfers causing several WD drives to disconnect until a reboot. These boards have an LSI chipset and have solved these problems. I have no problems with my WD drives staying connected with these USB 3.0 PCIe boards. I highly recommend this adapter card. If your mainboard has only SATA type power connectors, you will need a PATA to SATA power adapter to connect to the white power connector on this board.
