Chevy Chase's character, although funny thru most of the movie, does things that are opposite of what an intelligent person would do in a dangerous situation. The movie was more enjoyable the first time I watched it a year ago because of that issue. I have experienced a second-time-viewing issue a number of times with other comedies, like the movie Ted.

I just adore this movie. Jack Palance is at hs best being a great tough guy and offsetting Chevy Chases humor. I dont care how old the movie gets, the humor new gets older and the endearing charecters stay with you. Its a laugh and excitment and warm in one movie.. not gooy warm, good warm. This is a Michelob and home fries kind of movie. Get it.. you wont regret it. PG kinda Kiddie friendly
