I selected this film based on the fact that I pick an actor out that I like and purchase the most awarded films the actor has; sometimes I choose films randomly. I like Brad Pitt, period. I believe him to be one of many very talented and versatile actors out there. The film: Kalifornia describes a road-trip of two couples. One couple, who are from academia want to go to the places where serial killers have murdered people and take photos and ask questions to people. The problem: money. The man and his girl-friend who are the university need extra money for the trip; so they put an ad on a bulletin board at the school. Little did they know that the person responding to the ad would be Brad Pitt. Pitt and his young, naive girl-friend travel along with the other couple, and help with expenses. How, by Pitt murdering people along the way and taking their money. He kills people while trying to hide the fact that he is doing it from the other couple. I am not a serial killer freak, but the film in my own perception was not boring, watchable, shocking, and surprising. If you want to see a film that is the opposite of Pitts role as a good-guy, this is the one for you. Remember, it's just acting. I have to remind myself of that sometimes.Read full review
Love this flick!Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis star as a trailer park trash couple! Brad shows a dark side in this movie as a recently paroled felon living with his sweet, yet naively dipsy girlfriend played by Juliette Lewis. After running into a bit of trouble with the landlord and then the parole officer, the couple decide to high-tail it to guess where? Kalifornia!They hitch a ride with David Duchovny and Michelle Forbes,who are taking the scenic route to Kalifornia, that being a tour of the sites of famous serial killers' hunting grounds. What the plot and screenplay may lack is more than made up for by the acting talents of Pitt & Lewis. Their characterizations of po' white trash are right on the money! You must see this one!
Great cast!, Brad Pits, "best ever" acting job, the rest are also outstanding, "Early", will keep you on the edge of your seat, he gets desperate and descends into his place in Hell!

I caught this movie on tv first and somehow it caught me and I sat through the commercials and watched it--mesmerized! I'm not one for movies AT ALL, I don't have the patience to sit through them and they're always so obvious, just from the previews, you know how they'll end. This movie was great and with David D. and Juliette Lewis playing along with Brad Pitt, you'll definitely stay glued to the screen, waiting to see what happens next because YOU don't find out too much more than the other characters do...unlike most movies, you always know what's going on already...this movie has a killer ending that lasts a good long while, I can't describe it, you just HAVE to see it to believe it!!
Juliette Lewis is 20 years old, and wears many different scanty clad outfits. The plot and action of the movie is also very entertaining. And Juliette Lewis is 20 years old and scantily clad.
