"D+...Oh my God...I...passed! I PASSED!...Oh man, I got a D+! I'm gonna graduate!" From finally graduating college with a D+ in a history course, Tommy Boy goes on to fight to save his family's automotive business. The movie is a barrel of laughs as Chris Farley's reaction to just barely passing a course is to whoop and holler, party, do cartwheels down the hall and hug everyone in sight, to his starring opposite Rob Lowe "Brothers don't shake hands. Brothers gotta hug!" For much of the movie, Tommy and the very dapper accountant, Richard Hayden hit the road to sell enough brake pads to keep Callaghan Auto in business. There is no shortage of laughs as Tommy learns the hard way about how to sell stuff and makes a fool of himself in the process. It is all laughs with Chris Farley's slightly wacky sense of humor and clever punchlines. While not the greatest movie around, it is definitely good for a laugh.Read full review
