The remastered edition includes new liner notes, interviews about the albums making, and a few bonus songs. Someone In The Dark is a very beautiful song although the E.T. singing was a bit jarring. There is a demo version of the huge hit 'Billie Jean' that was recorded before the regular version was eventually made. The last bonus track 'Carousel' is a bit dissapointing. It's only one and a half minutes long. The song should have been at least three and a half minutes long. Oh Well. At least there are great new liner notes, and great photo stills taken from the video and behind the scenes. Although the remastered edition could have been better this CD is absolutely incredible. It's a shame that so many people my age completely missed this album during it's heyday although it's still immensely popular. I was only about 7 years old when it came out but it is one of the earliest memories I have of listening to music. Every track has it's own personality, but all together they make a beautiful album. Michael's voice really shines in this album especially in "The Lady in My Life". You get the three main hits..."Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller". Then you get a few softer, sexier tracks. The first track, "Wanna be Startin' Somethin'", gives me kinda a POW before we move into the rest of the album. Everything about it is wonderful and EVERYONE should buy it! The Quincy and Rod interviews are great to listen too and there are some funny anecdotes. The extra pics are worth the buy especially because of the baby tiger. "Carousel" is one of my favorite unreleased Michael songs. You also get to hear an extra verse spoken by Vincent Price for "Thriller". All of it is worth buying the special edition.Read full review
What more can you say about Thriller that hasn't already been said? Well I tell you. This is the best version of this cd because it has demos of songs that Mike wrote and you get a glimps of his true creativity. The new Thriller(2008) has remixs with stars of today like Kanye West and Akon and more. They are great artist, but you can't make perfection better. Buy this cd if you want to remember what Michael Jackson was like at his peak.

I've been a Michael Jackson fan every since I was a kid and this CD is easy on the ears. Though it's been over 25 years since it's release, Michael has proven why he's not only the King of Pop, but King of the entertainment world. Every track seems to have been thoughtfully planned and produced. I will continue to be a Michael fan forever.
