As an older fan of the Pokemon series who fell off the series after Crystal, these games are great to play because of the more streamlined experience. I prefer this version over the 3DS/2DS Virtual Console release of the Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow releases. The game seems familiar to what I remember from my childhood experience playing Pokemon with my friends at school.
I’ve played this specific Leaf Green cartridge on the original GBA, GBA SP and DS Lite and it works. Your experience will be impacted on how well you can view the screen. I prefer playing on the DS Lite as it allows you to trade to future Pokemon generation games after you meet the perquisites in game. It is also more comfortable to play on the DS Lite as it is a bigger handheld for larger hands.
Be sure to check online about what an authentic Pokemon Game’s label, cartridge and PCB looks like before you buy. Read full review
The game is 100% authentic. It works as intended. They did not make it clear that the cartridge/plastic is cracked in the back from being screwed and unscrewed to many times or too hard. That’s not okay for a $100 game. Their photo is at an angle so you cannot see it. As soon as it’s up right it’s very clear. Very disappointed for collecting purposes.
Pokemon LeafGreen Version (Game Boy Advance, 2004)
Good game, not very original. Blue/Red/Yellow (here-after B/R/Y) have been out years before it. The plus side of Fire Red or Leaf Green are the updated graphics which are on par with Ruby and Saphire; which have been the latest 'new pokedex' pokemon games and therefore most up to date. It does however offer an extended 'gameplay' area after the pokemon league which involves both the National Pokedex (allowing you to catch pokemon from Silver/Gold) as well as several unique islands to complete extra "missions" on.
If you prefer the old pokemon to the new pokemon; this is the game for you.
If you enjoy playing games that take time and are quick to adapt to; then this is the game for you.
Although, if you prefer the newer version of pokemon; i would not recommend this version as it is merely an update on graphics. All gameplay is identical to B/R/Y as mentioned above with the exception of the Rainbow Isle's.
(1) Total gameplay time for an experienced player; roughly 20-25 hours. (2-3 days). Non-complete Pokedex. Pokedex completion adds an infinite amount of time based on the players trade activity.
(2) Total gameplay time for a new pokemon player; roughly 50-55 hours with the pokedex as an extra as mentioned in 1.
Does offer the usual pokemon 'starter 3' with varying types making the game unique from the starting point at least 3 times with an almost infinite variation based on the pokemon team of 6 the player chooses. (492 total pokemon).
Any further questions will be happily answered within 36 hours and experience is based on pokemon games Blue, Red, Silver, Crystal, Saphire, Emerald, Leaf Green, Platinum. With the exception of the Japanese "in-between" game models this is every generation of pokemon. (That i'm aware of.)

Good product and a good selection of Pokémon to catch and train
A good game released by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. The mode of play allows some variety in play style - whether a catch 'em all approach or quickly knocking out the main opponents. There are also several puzzles within the game which add a bit of variety to the standard Pokémon battles.
The compatibility with other GBA Pokémon games as well as the Gamecube games allows the possibility of increased gameplay and strategy possibilities.
The main downer is that certain items required to reach the areas to catch some of the legendary Pokémon were only distributed through promotional events and are no longer available to the public. Though not necessary for the main game play, it feels as if you aren't being allowed access to the full content of the game.
NOTE TO BUYERS: All official Leaf Green games should be a nearly-opaque, light green color. Anything else is a fake and bootleg / pirated, will lose save data, and be incompatible when connecting to other games. If the seller does not provide actual quality photos, be advised that there is no way to tell whether the item is real or fake.Read full review
LeafGreen is a great remake of the original Pokemon Green, released only in Japan back in 1996. It brings the badly outdated games into the then-current Generation III standards. The graphics, sound and gameplay are modernized and overhauled, looking great on the Game Boy Advance.
For those who are nostalgic for the original Pokemon games, this is the version you should play (along with FireRed, its paired version). It is the original games yet with all the infamous bugs, glitches and problems fixed. Even though even LeafGreen is now outdated by Pokemon gameplay standards, it's still a fun game to play. And that's what is most important.
