Family Feud is based on the 1999 version of the television game show starring Louie Anderson as host. As on television, the game features two five-person teams competing to guess the most popular answers to a variety of survey questions. The team that wins goes on to the final round where, once again, players try to come up with the most popular responses to score the most points in hopes of winning the game's virtual big bonus prizes.
Emcee Louie Anderson is featured in full-motion video as the comedian explains the rules, asks survey questions, and awards prizes. Several options allow players to customize the names and appearances of their onscreen family team members.Five pre-rendered families are provided and you can save up to five customized groups.
Various options allow you to customize gameplay. A loose or strict setting is available for spelling accuracy and the fast money time limit (bonus round) can be adjusted to either 20/25, 30/35, or 40/45 seconds for the two contestants respectively. Computer opponent skill levels can be set to easy, medium, or hard, and the amount of time allowed to type in your survey answers can be set to off, 20, or 40 seconds.

Family Feud for the PS1 is the same fun loving game we've all come to enjoy over the years. The PS1 edition has a better letter spelling layout that the PS2 version which opted me to purchase this game. My wife and I play every evening before bed. Great game and would recommend it to any one who enjoys old game show games.
BOUGHT BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF THE GAME SHOW. EVEN THOUGH IT IS ON AN OLDER PLATFORM I WOULD GIVE IT A BELOW AVERAGE RATING. YOU WOULD HAVE TO PUT YOUR MIND BACK 10 YEARS TO GIVE AN ANSWER. SOMETIMES YOU FIND YOURSELF PUTTING SOMETHING CURRENT DOWN ONLY TO FIND IT NOT THERE AS AN ANSWER. LOUIE ANDERSON IS VERY CORNY TO THE POINT OF AGGREVATING IN THIS VERSION OF THE GAME. SEEMS TO BE A SHORT PRINTED GAME AND YOU COULD FIND BETTER USE OF YOUR $15-$20.
This game brings hours of Feudin' Fun and is very easy to play.
This is a great game to play if you are a fan of Family Feud! The game is very enterteining and easy to play. It is also a good collector's item if you are out to collect Family Feud vedeo games. I bought this game because I have versions of it on PS2, Wii, Super Nintendo and Nintendo. This game plays almost like the one on Super Nintendo because you can adjust the timer. It also plays like the PS2 version because you can adjust the computer's Intellegence lever. I love this version because it is simply that much fun combining the attributes of the SNES version and the PS2 verdion. I love it. Have fun.
It's a PS1 game so graphics are not good but I bought it to play around with a friend as we always watch the show and there are no new games out. Its okay for what it is.
I love this game it is better than the Playstation 2 Version!!! It is just like the real show. It asks you the same types of questions as the TV show. You get to pick or create your own family. And it gives you a lot more time to type in your answer compared to the PS2 Version. The only thing that I dislike about the game is the graphics aren't as good as the PS2 version. I recommended this game to anyone!!! Also, it cost a lot LESS than the PS2 version!!!!!
