I thoroughly enjoyed the entire "V" series when it was originally presented on TV and now, this set, along with two other "V" packages I purchased gives me the chance to revisit this brain candy whenever I like. I think that the reason I enjoy this series so much, despite the penchant for overacting displayed by a couple of the principal characters, is because I really enjoyed the overall plot that seemed to be an updated serialization of the classic Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man!" It's just too bad that the remake of the series ran out of steam before it could run its course...

I was obsessed with these lizard people when I was a child, so figured I would purchase this series. It brought back some fond memories, but it was quite corny with horrible special effects, even for 80's standards.

this is a fun, "go back in time", as far as special affects, series..it was so far advanced when made, but today i realize how old I"VE gotten just watching how simple it really is put together compared to today's special affects. i am enjoying watching it to see again, after all these years, how it turned out, i have forgotten how it ends..it is a trip back in MY TIME and am glad i got it...sometimes it is great to just travel back into the beginning of REAL technology in special affects, just to help us appreciate how far the industry has come to entertain us...it is clean, no cussing,nudity, etc. truly a fun watch for any family...or like me, just turning back the clock and enjoying good clean movies again....
This is what occurred after the visitors were driven away. Except for the captured mother ship, all others hid behind the moon abd waited. Of course, Diana has escaped to plan another assault. She does find a weakness in the protective bacterial sield so as to begin anew. So it starts again. Interesting turn of events make it interesting, but for someone wanting to incorporate human aspects here and their in the visitors. Otherwise, it does entertain as Diana shows more of her vile evil side even to plot against their own leader.

Based on two mini series, the TV series naturally had a smaller budget and it does show, but, at the time it utilized cutting edge technology and special effects. There were several things that were change, from the minis and the series, probably due to budget restraints, that were not explained. One of the most glaring changes ws that in the mini series, the Visitors has a strange sibilance in their voices, that just disappeared in the series. All in all, the series was something a sci-fi fan could love.
