SynopsisThis play from award-winning dramatist Tess Onwueme is about a group of highly talented, educated but unemployed youths who feel wasted and betrayed by a government who has told them they must get an education to be employed. After their hard-earned degrees they cannot find any work. Worse still, the industries and jobs have migrated overseas as the government leaders collude with their powerful international business allies to exploit cheap labour. The youth form a group to create radical change but soon find they are facing their own internal crises., Stark paintings - some in brilliant colours and others in more subdued tones - convey the horror of torture in the ghost houses in Khartoum and the agony of enslavement and dispossession in the Nuba mountains and southern Sudan. Originally exhibited in Cairo in 2000, these 53 works of art express the pain suffered by Sudanese from all walks of life and all religious backgrounds during the period since the military coup d'etat in June 1989
