I’ve been carrying Buck 505s for years and noticed the 055 online. I loved the curved bolsters and liked the idea of a longer blade. I got the newer model with the Ebony handles for Xmas and loved it! I decided to get a second one in American Walnut. It’s a great everyday carry. The quality is excellent and Buck knives come with a lifetime warranty. It fits in my jeans “watch” pocket but it is bigger than the 505 and you notice it. I’m used to it and think i’ll pick up a couple more but please don’t tell my wife!!!

This is a beautiful little knife that is smaller in your pocket than many modern key fobs. It is very thin and comfortable in your pocket. However, the blade is also very thin and mine snapped with the lightest amount of sideways pressure in some wood. Best for opening mail and packages.

It's great knife, I got it for my daughter. She doesnt need a 110 like me. Is it a good value? It's hard to answer that. I mean it was $60, but it is made in America. The later part is a big deal for me, if she keeps it and it doesn't get lost she will have it for the rest of her life. I'm happy she loves it so yes, it was a good purchase.
