love this laptop
This Thinkpad T430 has everything I was looking for: great processor speed, better than average memory, and solid state storage. It's solid and comfortable to work with, without touchpad interference causing my cursor to jump all over the page. I like that it has a replaceable battery, something low end laptops don't feature much anymore. Installing Ubuntu was a breeze. I'm definitely a fan.

One of the best laptops I've ever purchased.
I genuinely believe I may never need a laptop again. This laptop is the perfect mix of light weight, good performance, small form factor, long battery life, and repairability. Everything can be replaced or modified, which means if you aren't happy now, you can be with just a single screwdriver and a couple of minutes. It's durable, with a full single piece chassis on the inside to prevent it from drop damage and a thin layer of plastic on the motherboard to protect it from water. Overall this is one of the best laptops I've ever purchased and I don't think it'll see replacement any time soon.
