The ASUS X441BA is a low cost laptop providing for basic computer tasks; email, websites, office applications, etc. The video resolution is fine for these types of applications. The unit comes with an empty bay for a CD/DVD disk player, so it looks like one could be installed if needed. The Hard Drive is slow, as most are compared to SSDs. I swapped the HDD for the SSD which greatly enhanced the performance. The RAM is built in, so that is not upgrade-able. The laptop is all plastic and pretty light, not very rugged. I did try installing Ubuntu as the main OS, with Windows 10 on a VM, however, Windows 10 would not accept the license. I ended up reinstalling Windows 10 as the host OS, with Ubuntu as a guest and works very nicely. Overall I am satisfied with this as a secondary computer for occasional travel or use outside of the home office.Read full review
