Choke Shaft Installed Incorrect
Choke butterfly was installed incorrectly, which damaged plastic choke shaft. Fortunately, the carb which this was replacing had an identical part that I was able to swap over with no issue. Cheaply made
Installed on my mower and started right up but would not run smooth. Was running too lean. I checked for vacuum leaks and found none. I took the carburator apart and found that the seat for the needle and seat as well as the while inside of the carburetor is plastic. Would not work on my mower ended up having to rebuild my original. I thought buying this carburator would be more economical than rebuilding my old one and it would have been if it would have worked. Not sure how long it will last but so far seems to be about as good as the original OEM nikki carburetors that go on these briggs engines. It will also work on the Briggs and Stratton 19.5 hp engine since its not listed. Great Carburetor For Briggs & Stratton 15hp-21hp single cly. engine
I have a small repair shop where I find this type of carb in bad condition . Found that this (cheaper) replacement carb works very well. Now keep in mind that this is NOT a B&S factory carb, but a china replacement that saves you over 100.00 , cheap and a easy fix to my customers that can't afford a new B&S carb...saves you a coin or 2. I've used around 10 of these units with no problems. Just make sure you use a fuel stabilizer and run all fuel out of said carb BEFORE storing the mower at the end of season. NOTE: use good fuel and stabilizer all year around as to help your equipment stay in good working order, Steve's repair shop.

Skeptical
Part # changed alot, it didn't look like mine,but coming oem I took a chance. I saw a couple of cheaper ones that I saw no name. With no name I knew these were China. So going with briggs & stratton oem brand and paying more. I installed carb. My lawn tractor started and run like it was new. I am a happy customer. So the saying cheaper is better, isn't always true. I'm very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this carb to others. You need to do your research as these part #s change alot. One note, I had to buy a longer fuel line. No big deal. If you need a replacement part, I would recommend this seller. Thanks e-bay and thanks to the seller. Perfect Nikki Carb replacement plus bonus parts!
perfect replacement for the nikki carb. Save the old carb, so you can scavenge parts from it. I like the preformed fuel line that makes a ninety (90) degree bend to match the fuel inlet port...this is important attention to detail. That small bend prevents the fuel line from getting stressed and reducing fuel flow. The preformed bend also reduces stress at this angle so the fuel line will not develop cracks. Good attention to detail. and then developing cracks later. the carb comes pre-assembled and ready to go. However, you also get an extra seal, a carb gaskets, idle screw. a choke lever, the ever important O ring as an extra set (this is a common failure O ring that causes the carb and engine to flood!
