Glitchy, runs on WiFi and wish it ran with Windows OS
Is it durable? Seems to be, but it comes with only a 90 day warranty. Is it entertaining? To a point. Prof Einstein's facial expressions are cute and life-like Do I recommend it? No, I would wait for upgrades and improvements to software. I have a friend who couldn't wait to buy Prof Einstein. So when it arrived, I got to see first hand how he worked, or more accurately DIDN'T work. It's a great concept and I see great things in the future from Hanson Robotics. But for now, paying $300 for a glorified computer app is not in my near future. In a nutshell, here's my final opinion: ~ There's no volume control. The voice shouts at you ~ Speech is often garbled with a buzzing sound and you can't understand what he's saying. This was the most frustrating and disappointing aspect of the robot. ~ Has to be connected to the WiFi internet with Android or Apple OS ONLY ~ His response time is usually slow, because he's waiting to connect (buffering). In fact, he will tell you "Just one moment while I try to go online". ~ Since he works off the internet and his own app, he will suddenly start giving unwanted facts about the universe or something else -- and his explanations will go on and on. ~ He has a couple of cameras giving the illusion he's looking at you but most of the time he randomly looks around the room as he's speaking. ~ He can "walk" but they're very teeny baby steps, almost too painful to watch. So, we didn't make him walk too much, which seemed to use up battery power as well. ~ Speaking of batteries, you'll find yourself re-charging him a lot depending on how often and for how long you use him. ~ Interaction with Professor Einstein can be painfully slow, mostly because the bot is sending queries out to the Cloud. So while he's a cute little guy who can tell jokes and sometimes recognize your name, I'll wait until Hanson comes out with a new and improved version.Read full review

All's good except the online download of interaction learning software.
The only thing besides it's many incredible features is that I'm having trouble with the online interactive apps to download so that Professor Einstein can work to Interact with whomever. I've read other reviews and some are having the same problem. Still trying to figure things out.

Skin has ripped on two of these now within a couple months
After about an hour of operation by adult owner over period of less than two weeks, the flesh material on his forehead and beside his lip ripped. After jumping through a series of loops the company finally replaced it. Now this replacement ones face has ripped as well. These have a serious defect in that the skin material rips and is not durable
