  • The Hardy Boys as originally intended

Since their introduction almost a century ago, The Hardy Boys have been a mainstay of generations of young readers' bookshelves and an icon of American popular culture. The Applewood facsimile first editions present an excellent representation of the earliest titles in the series as they first appeared. Although they are still in print today, the new versions differ from the originals in many ways. Starting in the the late 1950s, the early titles were revised, shortened by about 20 percent and in some cases almost completely rewritten. Reading these books in the form in which they originally appeared, with period language and missing details restored literally takes the reader back into history.

  • Facsimile

I’m trying to collect all these applewood per publications because they contain the original text of the hardy boys and Nancy drew books which were rewritten in the 50s and 60s.
