First opening of bag is pleasant, the colour is light green as shown on picture. The colour of tea in cup is bright green and looks refreshing. Taste is full bodied, fresh, slightly baken pleasant taste - more significant with higher temperature cca 80-85°C. With lower temperature ca 70°C more light nutty tones. For this price great tea. Recomend it.

I’ve purchased this for the first time. I have to say that it is a great value for what it is. It has a vibrant green colour, but it is a little bit hard to blend it into the water, leaving many lumps behind, but I’ve figured mixing it faster and harder got rid of those. The flavour is slightly more bitter than what I was expecting. I’d recommend this for those that want to try matcha for the first time.

Very satisfying, smooth to the taste matcha tea.
I’ve been buying this particular matcha tea powder for at least 2 or 3 years. Prior to this I was buying another matcha tea imported from Japan that was also excellent, but considerably more expensive. I’ve also in the past purchased matcha tea from Teavana, a company owned by Starbucks, but has since closed all of their stores and online business. This tea is of comparable quality of the other two mentioned, smooth to the taste and not bitter, and the value is much better. I highly recommend it.

Pretty good deal. Drank a lot of this tea the last weeks and think it is good quality. I never tasted high end matcha but i bet it is not much different from this. Drank matcha in Japan and took home from it few times. It is up to par with it.

Excellent! Compares very well to matcha costing four times as much.
I was skeptical when I ordered this matcha, having paid the in past about four times the price from another major vendor. This matcha compares with the more expensive one in every way. The color is a beautiful, bright green. It mixes smoothly and easily. It whisks up nicely, holding a nice, rich foam. I used about 3/4 teaspoon with a cup of 170º water. Very pleasant taste and nice mouth with virtually no astringency. And, after having read some discussions of possible residual chemical levels in matcha (mostly mass-produced Chinese matcha), I feel better about organically grown. I immediately ordered two more packets. Thank you Ocha for making available a more affordable yet excellent product!
