I've long been critical of the relationship between Big Pharma and the Medical profession. After reading this I became pretty angry with them all over again. This is the story of a number of doctors, one in particular, that worked with treating a myriad of viruses using intravenous or intramuscular Vitamin C. The doctor most often cited came from a small rown in N.C., and in 1949 cured 60 patients with Polio, using just the Vitamin C. But he used massive doses. All with NO side effects. Big Pharma will never allow a cure like this to be widely available, no matter how many lives would be saved. Money is far more important to them. Do yourself a BIG favor. Read this. At least you'll have the information should you ever need it. You should also read "Hypothyroidism:The Unsuspected Illness"written by Broda Barnes. Another doctor that worked for many decades, healing many different illnesses, including mental problems, sdimply by using natural dessicated thyroid. That amazed me. And I can attest to the truth of that book..Right now, the FDA is attempting to take that natural treatment off the market, after it has been used for over 100 years, and it has no side effects. Evidently the makers of Synthroid have paid someone off. Again, money comes first. Start reading about things like this. You can only benefit. Both books well written and filled with references.Read full review
I totally love this book. Levy cuts to the truth about curing things you are told have no cure: Like Polio, Herpes, Aids, Tetanus, Staph, venoms and many others. Using IV Vitamin C in the large doses work and he explains why "Mega Doses" (not saying how many MG a Mega Dose is) in studies designed to discredit Dr. Pauling, don't work. His other book, "Stop America's #1 Killer" points out that the deficiency of Vitamin C is caused by the fact that people do not make it in their body. Every insult to the body uses Vitamin C and when there is not enough, damage is the result. Even if you only read the section on Cancer, it would be worth the money. Pg 395-397.
I purchased this book for my wife after it was highly recommended by an acquaintance. My spouse is an RN and is fairly savvy when it comes to medicine. She thought very little of this publication and said each chapter was basically a regurgitation of the one before it. Like other reviewers, she felt it was not written for the layman and was excessive in its medical jargon.
