Roomba j7 does a great job cleaning our home
We previously had a Roomba 980 which finally died after getting into pet poo for the 3rd time. The Roomba J7+ does a good job of avoiding objects and allows us to map out each room and designate keep out zones. After each cleaning we are presented with pictures of objects it encountered, and we have options like marking a temporary obstacle so the Roomba will attempt to clean in that area again, or add a keep out zone for the area. I really enjoy the convenience of the self emptying bin feature. I was having to empty our previous 980 multiple times each time it cleaned. I am cleaning our Roomba j7 once weekly to remove pet hair that collects on the rollers and side brush, removing the bin filter to tap it on the trash can to get some of the dirt out, and cleaning the charging contacts on the j7 & charging station. A weekly maintenance that takes about 15 minutes isn't isn't so bad to keep this vacuum working properly that keeps our home so clean! Perfectly Autonomous
Friends tell of un-sticking their robots from various entanglements. Ours has run for two weeks and not one time did it get stuck. They also mention theirs runs out of energy before it returns to the base. Ours always knows when to head home to recharge. Ours empties completely every time -- one time, I noticed it ran itself through the "extraction" cycle three times to dislodge something that must have been stuck. Smart bot! It also is incredibly smart. Somehow, I can move its base around and it finds home, even on different floors! Oh, and it cleans very well -- look at the reviews on Vacuum Wars.

I love it. It moves back and forth instead of random which is much more efficient and cleans better. Also, since my husband has had back surgery and I'm trying to avoid surgery, it is a miracle not to have to run a vacuum. Now does it get every tiny piece, no, but haven't you looked after vacuuming and said I just vacuumed, how did I miss that?

Let's get ready to ROOMBA!
I've had this a week. It mapped all my rooms and then I was able to use the app easily to set up which rooms to clean and which days. It is surprisingly quiet except when it empties. Then is sounds like a turbo jet going off but just lasts a few seconds. It took 3 days to map my entire house 2700 sqf. It easily adjusts over my vinyl flooring to my carpet to my tiled spaces. I have foam mats in my kitchen and rugs in my bathrooms and it easily transitioned over those. I have wires in my living room from electric furniture and it would go up next to them and turn itself around to avoid them. So far I am very pleased with my purchase. I've named her "Judy" after Judy Jetson!

The App works well. It did take 5 runs to map a 2800 square foot house. It is more noisey than I thought it would be but not bothersome. We have 2 cats and mostly tile floor. It has done a good job of cleaning so it's a definite help to keep the floors clean. Also everytime I tell it to clean, it doesn't complain about doing it!
