The MPC ONE has so much capability but is easy to learn. Lots of videos out there to help you get started and then learn advanced techniques and tricks. Buy an inexpensive midi keyboard later to help with melodies, chords, etc., plug in your laptop if that's your thing and you have all you'll ever need to produce awesome music.
