For almost two years i would spend around $10 a week on water for my reef tank. I wanted to get an Ro/di unit for my apartment but I'm cheap and never wanted to spend the money...Not a smart choice. I came across the Ro Buddie + Di and based on other reviews i decided to give it a try. Its already paid for itself and reading zero tds after 100+ gallons (Starting with 150tds city water) The unit itself is very simple and easy to install. Takes me about 5 minutes to hook it up to my shower with an adapter i got for $7 at Home Depot. Everything feels solid and well made. This is the perfect Ro if you're on a budget! Not a lot of instructions but its self explanatory.

The R/O Buddie is a great unit for the price. It does the job at about its advertised pace. It's not as sturdy as the more conventional and more expensive R/O units that I've had, but that really makes no difference in water quality output. It probably makes it just a little harder to change out cartridges when the time comes. I highly recommend buying a TDS monitor to monitor your water quality coming in and out of any R/O unit. With this, I know my water coming out of this unit is at 0 TDS. I probably made about 300 gallons of water and the DI unit still has 3/4 life left.

I bought this to replace my previous filter that worked perfectly. The price was the best I found and would trust.
