As stated, this is an excellent hard drive. I've installed many different brands, sizes as speeds previously when refurbishing laptops, but the Seagate 2TB is my favorite. It combines speed, size and reliability. I've never had to replace one either, where I can't say that about others I've used.

Decent replacement for a laptop with lots of storage, but slow
It's a typical spinning hard drive for laptops as far as speed goes. After rebuilding a gaming laptop with it, it felt slower than it should, but I'm used to using computers with SSD drives, though still, I've used computers since the 1980's with this "old" tech and it still felt slower than it should have. On the plus side, it doubled the storage for the laptop, but I'd recommend replacing regular hard drives with SSD's if you can afford them. They make a big usability improvement for any computer using spinning drives.

I installed this myself on my PS4 slim. It wasn't a snug fit, but if you align the screws where they need to be, it will work. I did this and downloaded the latest update on a flash drive and now it's working great. If you plan to install a new hard drive, I would advise you to upload all of your saved data to your online storage if you have PS Plus. It's very reliable and you do not need to buy another external hard drive, which can be pretty expensive, maybe just a flash drive to download the update (you'll only need about 1GB of free space). Overall, you can't beat this price for the great quality, I highly recommend this product.

Drive works just fine
I got a pair of these to run in a small raid box. They work just fine, but I do need to use the AC adapter to power the box. That would probably work simply on bus power with SSD drives, but 2x2TB SSD would be much more expensive! I've had no problems with these drives :-)

Recently installed this as a upgrade in my ps4, i went from 500Gb to this 2Tb.. If you do this upgrade you will have to reinstall the ps4 software which can be downloaded from the playstation website and saved on a flash drive to transfer.. its a easy upgrade but i wouldnt attempt if you have no tech knowledge..
