yeah bruv these sound good as heck and no real defects just some of the headband is discolored. build is good, earpads still good. prob the best pair of 'phones i've owned, and i plan to use them for mixing in the future. hell yeah. nice.

Great heaphones. Very similar to AKG 371 which replaced these. The treble range is very slightly less pronounced in the 553 than 371. I believe AKG uses the same driver so the difference is caused mostly by the pads as 553 are round style, 371 oval, and different materials used. This is a great headphone for all kinds of music. You don't need to spend huge amounts of money on headphones, these will satisfy.
