Well designed and powerful that accepts many sources and media
Pros:
This is not a shrill sounding machine.
The sound reproduction is evenly balanced, and the component case is of the highest quality materials.
It accesses MP3 files and the am/fm radio easily finds stations without needing to extennd the antenna.
The weight and size are at the top end of a unit that is portable, without compromising quality.
I like that it uses batteries, and uses moderate amounts of power to function.
Cons:
The power adapter is bulky and takes up several spots on a wall supply. I would be better if it was in-line
cord that had a conventional plug at the end.
It is big ugly and heavy but it sounds great it is easy to use is it Bluetooth and seems to be well made . It has 50 watt speakers that I did not have to pay two or $300 for. Phillips is a great and reliable brand name . I found it on sale and with an added discount !! Very pleased my searching was worth the wait. Merry Christmas to me 😃👍
Very few portable radio/CD or radio/cassette units have speakers that light up like a discotheque, the only other one I've seen was one similar to the big Sharp ones with two cassette decks in the top left-hand corner, can't remember the brand but it was one of the lower-market brands.
That one had four flashing speakers of red, blue, yellow and green but they didn't change colour like this one which shows six or seven different colours continuously changing.
I had one of these before but the aerial was broken and I've hunted for another one ever since.
I am pleased with the product, it has lived up to expectations. Like others who have reviewed this boombox, I would have liked to have seen some protective grills over the speakers, but that also means I have to be more responsible when handling it. The versatility of playing objects: bluetooth, usb and mp3 read ability make it a great choice for the money I paid.
