Excellent Power Station . . .
Works perfectly. Now if I loose electricity, I have my new EB3A power station to use. I also bought the car charging cable, and now have the capability to recharge the unit using my car. BTW - When I received my EB3A it was at 39% charge, I plugged it in, and charged the unit to 100%, and put it back in its' box. 2-weeks later, I took it out to see that the car charging cable I ordered was the right fit, and charged the unit. To my surprise, my EB3A was still at 100% charge! GREAT Power Station - "The TV Man"

Fan too loud while using as UPS
Loud fan noise in UPS mode - I was hoping to use UPS mode to power a few small devices such as my internet router, wifi, and network switch. These combined use about 30 watts. I have these devices in my home office which I use for work. Sadly, while in UPS mode to run these devices, every ~30 minutes the battery power goes down to 99% (I'm guessing from internal power draw, not the actual load being passed through the UPS), the fan makes a strange electronic noise, something like a motor that doesn't have enough power get started. It makes this noise for about 10 seconds, then the fan moving air noise can be heard. No matter what charging mode it is set to (turbo, standard, or silent) the fan then ramps up to full speed to recharge this last one percent of battery. The fan runs for 2-3 minutes before shutting off. Even though it is on the other side of the room this is loud enough to disrupt my work or zoom calls. No bi-directional usb charge port or cable included to charge from a cigarette lighter. It would be great to be able to charge this in the car. I bought a 3rd party usbc to dc 7.9x5.5 cable and a 100w usbc car charger to be able to charge this from the car, these together cost about $30 and with them I'm able to charge the EB3A with 87 watts. I also thought I should be able to plug this usbc to dc input cable into a 100w AC to DC converter (i.e. apple 20.2 volt 87w usbc adapter), but sadly even when the needed 12-28v is supplied in the usbc there is some glitch with the MPPT controller that won't allow it to charge. The 600 watt AC output is awesome, it will start and run my full size refrigerator (although it won't start my medium chest freezer), although not for very long. The charge speed is great, although when charging the fan turns on and ramps up to full speed no matter the charge mode, or whether charging from DC/Solar/AC.Read full review

The Best Portable Power Station at a Bargain Price!
This unit has been a lifesaver many times since I bought it in late January, 2023. That's because I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, in California, which (like much of the globe) been subject to horrible storms this past winter and early Spring. When high winds and extreme rain caused lengthy power outages (5 days or more) I could keep my phone charged using this remarkably easy-to-use power station. The fact I say it's easy-to-use means you need to know I'm legally blind and I don't use that phrase often (because most things aren't easy to use!) In honesty, I'm delighted with my purchase, and so very thankful for the unit. I keep it charged and ready at all times; it holds a charge for a long time. And it's always ready when I need it. Economical and well-made battery storage device.
The EB3A is an inexpensive product that stores current and provides a variety of electrical voltages. I use it on a small sailboat and it provides (5 vlt for charging phones, 12 vlt for pumps and running lights, and 120 AC for power tools). I have charged it with the car charger, the AC and a 100 watt solar panel. It has a built in MPPT mechanism (very good) to control the solar charger. It is smaller than I expected and fits nicely on the boat and provides enough current for weekend/overnight sails.

Sweet spot for general usage
My primary use for a portable power station is in the field to power telescope, camera, and laptop equipment. However, it will also be used occasionally around the house for pure convenience of access to charging or an outlet. I was immediately drawn to the BLUETTI power stations due to their LiFePO4 battery technology. I selected this 268Wh model as the sweet spot: useful capacity with modest size and weight, all required outputs including USB-C, and optimal value cost/Wh. The station is well-built and all works as advertised. Operation is simple - there are absolutely no menus or modes. Separate push buttons activate each section of power output (AC, DC, USB). Pressing a button also activates the brilliant backlit status display. Later, a long press of the same button will deactivate that output section.
